    LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Bergen County, NJ area client.

    In this role, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing various aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis.

    Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the accuracy of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.


    Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting:

    Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports through detailed review and reconciliation of accounts.


    General Accounting:
    Supervise and mentor staff accountants in recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions.
    Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting processes.


    Internal Controls and Compliance:
    Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
    Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed.
    Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure their implementation within the organization.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

    Thorough knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting requirements.
    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
