    Job Summary

    The Clinical Resource Nurse provides clinical support to enhance patient care and outcomes in the Infusion Center. This role requires advanced knowledge and skills, including clinical expertise in a focused area, evidence-based practice, mentoring, consultation, collaboration, education, and leadership. Mentoring and educating Infusion Center staff on skills labs and resources is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Clinical Resource Nurse works with the Director to ensure operational readiness of the Department for direct nursing care. This position has operational oversight responsibilities and participates in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care in accordance with the Nursing Service Department's philosophy and objectives.

    Partnerships and Mentorship

    The Clinical Resource Nurse facilitates communications between departments and serves as a mentor and role model for staff.

    Requirements

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school required.
    • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Infusion/Out-Patient Nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities required. Chemotherapy Infusion and PICC line placement experience preferred. Previous Charge Nurse experience also preferred.
    • Licensure and/or Certification: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required. BLS healthcare provider certification required. ACLS achieved within 6 months of hire. Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
