    Full Time and Part Time Cook positions available

    Kitchen closes at 7:30pm

    Up to $20 per hour based on experience

    Line Cook prepares and serves meals according to menu; monitors methods of food handling, preparation, meal service and equipment cleaning. Supervises dietary aides.

    Job Duties of a Line Cook
    • Line Cook coordinates food preparation and meal service
    • Plan and initiate cooking schedule
    • Prepare, season, cook assigned meals with high nutritive value, flavor, color, texture and appearance following standardized recipes.
    • Ensures appropriate portioned servings for resident dietary requirements.
    • Prepare all food in accordance with dietary restrictions and/or modifications for each resident.
    • Prepares nutritional snacks for residents as directed by Director
    • Line Cook monitor temperature of hot and cold foods through food preparation and service to ensure that established temperature goals are met and maintained throughout meal service.
    • Checks and inspects food product and supplies as delivered at direction of Director of Dietary Services.
    • Supervises and assists in storage of supplies and food products.
    • Cleans equipment and work areas
    • Knowledgeable of Federal, State and the facility's rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Attend in-service educational programs.
    • Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
    Qualifications

    Qualifications of a Line Cook
    • High school diploma required.
    • Quantity cooking and/or long term health care experience preferred.
