    Midwest Wellness Institute seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will serve as our organization's initial point of contact, providing excellent customer service and administrative support.

    We seek a compassionate and dedicated LPN. This role will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, assisting with treatments and procedures, and ensuring the well-being of patients in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

    Requirements

    Patient Care:
    • Assist in assessing patients' health status and report any changes to the registered nurse or physician.
    • Provide basic nursing care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and record observations in the medical record.
    Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
    • Document medication administration, treatments, and patient responses to care interventions.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
    Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
    • Assist in implementing care plans and evaluating patient outcomes.
    Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare staff.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to developing best practices in nursing care.
    • Follow regulatory requirements and standards of practice in nursing.
    Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
    • Stay updated on advancements in healthcare technology and evidence-based practices.
    • Maintain licensure and certification requirements as per state regulations.
    Qualifications:
    • Education: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program and current LPN licensure.
    • Experience: Previous experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
    • Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
    Schedule: Monday through Friday (8 am-5 pm)
