- Plans, coordinates, assigns, reviews, and evaluates unit workflow. Provides training, recruitment, assessment, and supervision to staff.
- Participates in program planning, implementation, and coordination to ensure alignment with department and Federal/State rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collects and analyzes data and information to ensure program compliance.
- Makes recommendations and implements corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborates with social service personnel, agencies, providers, and resources to offer comprehensive services for the care and treatment of clients efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Represents the agency in task forces, committees, and to the public.
- Offers information to clients, the public, community representatives, and other agencies to clarify programs and policies.
- May design and execute programs, including drafting grant proposals, completing all state clearinghouse documents, and managing new grants post-approval.
- Evaluates budget requirements, makes staffing, supply, and equipment recommendations, and potentially oversees current budget expenditures.
- Prepares statistical and program evaluation reports.
- Three years of experience in case management, involving assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to meet individual human service needs.
- Three years of experience in providing recommendations as part of a client's service plan, such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits.
- Six months of experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Six months of experience in utilizing an automated information system for data entry, updating, retrieval, and reporting.
- Six months of experience in narrative report writing.
- Understanding of staff supervision gained through coursework, academic training, employer-provided training, or experience as a lead worker overseeing others' tasks; OR supervisory experience involving planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating work; OR oversight of a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees through subordinate supervisors.

Summary Statement
A class incumbent is accountable for overseeing daily staff activities, coordinating case management and/or employment and training functions, and supporting administrators in program assessments, planning, and execution. The applicant may supervise a team of 6-10 professional, paraprofessional, and clerical employees.
