    \tUnder direct supervision of the General Diagnostic Manager and Medical Director the Radiologic Technologist (RT) will produce diagnostic images utilizing a variety of radiographic equipment. Fix radiographic, fluoroscopic and mobile equipment following prescribed protocols and procedures. As the RT, you will competently perform radiographic procedures on neonates, infants, children, adults and geriatric patients. Complete all studies in a timely and efficient manner and produce film images utilizing Digital Radiography, image processors and process as prescribed standards.

    \tDuties include but are not limited to:

    \t
    • Assist in performing sterile technique procedures as required

    \t
    • Assist Radiologist as needed

    \t
    • Follow established quality assurance procedures

    \t
    • Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality

    \t
    • Patient education prior to the examination

    \t
    • Preparation of needed supplies and equipment set up
    \tThe RT is expected to support UCLA healthcare radiology locations in the Santa Monica region. Radiologic Technologists need to possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties assigned to the position; graduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training, maintaining current CRT, CRT - Fluoro and ARRT licensure.

    \t

    \t* · ARRT certification - required
    \t* · CRT license - required
    \t* · Fluoroscopic permit - required
    \t* · JCERT approved Radiologic Technologist Program graduate - required
    \t* · BCLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross- required
    \t* · Ability to adapt to advancement and changing technology.
    \t* · Ability to identify and recognize contraindications for exams. (Radiology Only)
    \t* · Ability to respond efficiently to expressed needs of referring services, physicians and patients.
    \t* · Demonstrate knowledge of clinical billing (IDX codes) to ensure appropriate accounting and reimbursement of services rendered.
    \t* · Knowledge of medical terminology, with ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses.
    \t* · Skill in employing independent decision making while performing various job functions.
    \t* · Telephone manners and skills to handle heavy telephone lines with courtesy and tact.
    \t* · Understand the requirements of the EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act)
