    Key Responsibilities

    Provide technical guidance and recommendations both internally and externally
    Assist in the development of system requirements.
    Direct and assist in the development of product prototypes.
    Lead product development activities through all aspects of the software life-cycle.
    Work collaboratively with project teams (i.e. ME, EE, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Quality) at all stages of development
    Ensure regulatory, statutory, and, legislative compliance
    Purpose

    Responsible for the design and development of products for ophthalmology surgical devices.

    Qualification

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Knowledge of ISO, regulatory and legislative standards applicable to the development of medical devices
    Full understanding of Document and Source Control
    Effectively utilize problem solving skills and techniques to identify potential issues, assess their impact, and develop and implement mitigation and resolution plans and activities
    Proven ability to lead design teams
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of associates, management and external partners
    Proficient in C/C++
    Experience with MATLAB Simulink
    Familiar with ARM and Sharc DSP microprocessors.


    MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+10 yrs; PhD+8 yrs)
    10 Years of Medical Device Experience
    Fluent English


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
