    Description


    Responsible for leading and developing employees, as well as meeting defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for Safety, Quality, Production, Service and Efficiency.

    While performing the supervisory duties listed below, the supervisor is required to spend 75% of time on the floor. Supervise quality control operations including inspecting, testing, analyzing, and auditing quality of products and processes.
    Day-to-Day Role: Supervise and promote practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards Take ownership and demonstrate leadership necessary to achieve goals specific to Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee Development Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)


    Establish an environment that encourages employee engagement, participation and teamwork within and between all departments Schedule priorities, equipment, workstations and staff to efficiently meet goals on time.

    This includes taking daily attendance, scheduling personnel and coordinating lunch and rest breaks Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of targets.

    Audit the floor as required by Leader Standard Work, monitor metrics, verify adherence to procedures/ standard work and correct deficiencies as necessary.

    Develop and communicate team goals, processes and procedures Collaborate with other management teams as necessary to achieve goals and targets.

    Manage quality control inspection, testing, analysis, troubleshooting, documentation and implementation Review and approve proposed corrective actions Develop training and teach statistical and quality methodologies and procedures Develop inspection criteria, methods, procedures and test parameters for products and/or testing equipment Evaluate, recommend, and acquire required tools and technology Research and implement cost savings opportunities for the company and external customer Provide technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes Assist in and oversee third party audits Assist with and oversee customer escalations Train employees on SAP systems and procedures relating to quality management Actively support Operational Excellence and effectively participate in lean initiatives Understand, support, and follow management expectations in alignment with company valuesCore Skills and Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: Two (2) years supervisory experience with strong leadership and management skills Requires one of the following: Associate's degree with an emphasis in quality control or engineering and three (3) years of quality control or assurance experience High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of technical training, apprenticeship, trade school, military technical school, or on the job training specifically relating to manufacturing equipment and processes or quality and three (3) years of quality control or assurance experience Previous quality management software experience required, SAP experience preferred Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable Analytical experience including investigating issues, recognizing trends, and recommending solutions to non-routine complex quality issues Experience using various statistical and quality methodologies including but not limited to Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE)

    Understand production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products Familiar with quality certification programs and audit processes Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesPreferred Skills and Qualifications:
