    Job Summary and Qualifications

    In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the health care team, the Orderly/Operating Room Aide is responsible for assisting the care team in providing quality, age specific, direct and indirect care to patients as delegated and supervised by the RN or physician in order to achieve the goals of the Surgical Departments. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

    What you will do in this role:

    • You will be responsible for assisting in providing patient care and housekeeping duties
    • You will provide care for patients of all ages; neonate to geriatric
    • You will keep stretchers and OR equipment cleaned and properly made per procedure
    • You will assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
    • You will assists in operating room staff development and education
    • You will deliver cytology specimens without additives immediately to the Lab with completed Cytology Request Form

    What qualifications you may need:

    • High School Graduate/Equivalent is preferred
    • Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred
    • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required upon hire
