- Responds to requests for service and complaints related to meter operations, troubleshoots and calibrates meters, and educates customers on program policies.
- Installs, cleans, maintains, and replaces water meters, locates meters accurately, and performs routine maintenance tasks.
- Connects new water services, disconnects delinquent accounts, and leaves necessary notices for customers regarding meter issues.
- Uses assigned vehicle to travel to service locations, locates addresses efficiently, and maintains required documentation accurately.
- Updates customer information in computer systems, enters data on inspections, repairs, and customer requests.

Salary Range: $35,360 - $56,854
Purpose of Classification:
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining water meters, as well as connecting and disconnecting water services for the County's water utility.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED, along with two years of experience in meter reading, installation, or maintenance. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience providing the necessary knowledge and skills for the job will be considered.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must hold and keep a valid Georgia driver's license.
