- Translate end-state client objectives into qualitative research approaches with the ability to integrate into larger, multi-pronged efforts by a multi-disciplinary team
- Translate client objectives into project and task plans along with associated deadlines and deliverables required, as well as create and communicate project and deliverable status
- Design, implement, and lead the gathering of qualitative data from various stakeholders, current policies and doctrine, business process documentation, and other data sources
- Conduct literature reviews from government and non-government sources for highly diverse subject areas
- Analyze qualitative data to identify patterns, trends, and key insights, as well as translate abstract information into discrete qualitative data points for further analysis and interpretation
- Gather, organize, and manage large qualitative datasets derived from diverse sources, and develop and maintain associated data management rulesets and quality control processes to ensure ongoing data integrity, quality, and usability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate strategies based on qualitative findings and translate insights into actionable steps and recommendations
- Author clear and comprehensive policies and implementation guidance, working with clients to elicit and incorporate feedback for publication
- Develop and deliver briefings, papers, and other necessary stakeholder communications to Army Senior Leaders, action officers, and forums about initiatives, findings, and implication in an accessible manner
- Work independently to drive the qualitative analysis process from information collection to policy development and assessment of policy effectiveness
- Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to be on-site 5 days per week in Arlington, Virginia
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 3-6 years of experience in policy analysis, qualitative analysis, managerial consulting with a research focus, and/or strategic planning in DoD
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to identify and understand patterns within qualitative and abstract information
- Proficient in developing and maintaining large qualitative datasets ensuring quality and completeness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accessibly
- Experience developing and overseeing project plans and task leadership preferred
- Master's degree in a relevant field preferred
