**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as **Electrical Engineer** based in **Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; or Grand Rapids, MI.**

Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism, and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our B+P offices focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Health Care, Higher Education, Military and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.

Some of our recent projects include major hospitals, military, data centers, water and wastewater facilities and lab facility, Bridges, Package distribution warehouses, and cutting-edge scientific research facilities.

**Job Description**

+ Provides technical leadership for a specialty and is considered to be an expert professional in their field.

+ Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.

+ Assist in Making decisions on technical problems and methods and represents the organization in conferences.

+ Resolves important questions and plans and coordinates work.

+ Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.

+ Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.

+ Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.

+ This position will involve working with a multidisciplinary team who work together to conceive, permit, design and provide construction administration support for small and large projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Designs power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems, etc.

+ Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFIs and review of contractor proposed change orders

+ Evaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team members

+ Performs site/ field visits to ascertain existing conditions including equipment condition evaluations

+ Organizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget

+ Assists in preparing proposals and presenting to Clients

+ Acts as an assistant to the Electrical Department Manager with workload planning

+ Assists with mentoring of junior staff within the Electrical Department

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 4 years of related experience and/or education

+ EIT

+ Valid Driver's License

**Preferred Qualifications :**

+ Professional Engineer (PE)

+ Proficient in SKM and electrical analysis software

+ 6+ years of electrical systems design experience

+ Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit

+ Ability to interact with others on a multi-discipline team

+ Ability to work on multiple projects at once

+ Good time management skills, a strong work ethic and attention to detail

+ People management experience a plus

+ NCEES Record

+ Excellent Communications Skills with the ability to present designs to clients

+ Additional Industry Certifications such as LEED AP or CEM

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90, $115,
