    This is a position with The Marley Company, a parent company which provides administrative support to the SPX Enterprises HVAC Heating businesses (such as WM Technologies, LLC, Marley Engineered Products, LLC, Patterson-Kelley, LLC) and includes all Weil-McLain branded products.


    The Senior Buyer will execute the procurement process for assigned commodities/components and communicate with suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery of materials in support of Weil-McLain production plan at negotiated best price and committed service levels.

    The Senior Buyer will work closely with Strategic Sourcing team in sourcing new product streams, finding new vendors, developing commodity strategies, as well as manage assigned projects.

    Buying and Analysis

    Review MRP procurement messages daily to understand material needs driven by the production plan and inventory strategies.
    Compare material needs to current and expected inventories and make decisions regarding purchasing volumes.
    Create purchase orders and route for approvals as necessary. Follow up with suppliers to obtain confirmation on pricing, delivery, and ensure technical understanding and capability.
    Assists with selection of qualified vendors and monitors their performance for quality, delivery and costs.

    Works closely with the Production Scheduler to enable accurate forecasting and delivery schedules.
    Resolves discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices, delivery dates, delays, damages and rejections.
    Manage inventory levels of commodities to ensure maximum turns while maintaining a consistent source of supply.
    Participate in on/off-site supplier audits and evaluations and make recommendations regarding supplier performance and retention.
    Communicate performance ratings and metrics to supply base as assigned.

    3 to 5 years of inventory procurement in an ERP/MRP environment.

    Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field

    Travel & Working Environment
    Office environment (when onsite) with occasional work in a plant/manufacturing environment

    Minimal travel (<10%) that includes visits to other facilities, vendors and training.
