    Responsibilities

    Peraton is hiring a Technology Transition Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

    As a Technology Transition Systems Engineer on our team you will provide systems engineering and project management support to a division focused on assisting with the transition of innovative technologies from the customer's research organization and external entities, and identifying, evaluating, and facilitating the adoption of new and emerging innovative technical capabilities into the corporate enterprise baseline. You will also define requirements, perform analysis of alternatives, identify and assess risks, develop test plans, evaluate experiments and prototype solutions, and oversee implementation and integration efforts. You will coordinate cross-functional activities across multiple stakeholders, including senior decision authorities, technical subject matter experts, capability developers, operations analysts, and compliance and policy representative. You will assist with the development of standards, policies, and processes aimed at optimizing the effective and efficient transition of technical solutions into the enterprise architecture for sustained customer use. You will also assume the responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility, and communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and external industry partners.

    Qualifications

    Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
    • Lead contractor systems engineering activities for a project to include supervising the work of the project engineering staff and technicians.
    • Approve delivery of work products of multiple Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
    • Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.
    • Five or more years' experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.
    • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
    Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
    • Participate in new candidate project discussions, both internal and external. Desired experience includes: experiment / test / prototype definition; analysis of alternatives; risk identification/mitigation, and assist with deliberation/decision process.
    • Organize / coordinate weekly Sync and status meetings; establish agendas; serve as alternate meeting lead when the customer lead cannot attend; participate in discussions; and take meeting notes.
    • Assist with coordinating "onsite" visit / meetings; serve as alternate POC for all correspondence with personnel; track project status for all active and candidate projects (current in excel spreadsheet).
    • Assist with action items tracking - document actions, coordinate with assignees of status, maintain schedule, etc. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Target Salary Range

    $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.All
