- Experience in leading quality improvement projects preferred

- Experience with driving public health initiatives such as lowering infant mortality rates preferred
- Assists with planning, organizing, prioritizing, and facilitating activities to monitor and ensure excellence in patient care outcomes and patient experiences in accordance with appropriate ADH Levels of Care for Newborn services, national best practices and applicable hospital and regulatory standards.
- Utilizes ADH and other neonatal and infant market and outcomes data to help develop and prioritize plans for recruiting NICU Alliance members.
- Facilitates the most effective use of resources to achieve the desired excellence in care.
- Facilitates networking between various care providers and facilities to evaluate quality data, develop improvement plans, and promote adoption of best practice standards of care.
- Coordinates the planning and development of educational activities for AC and community providers, families and other groups regarding best practices for the care of high risk newborns and neonatal patients.
- Facilitates networking to connect potential nursery alliance partners to key AC teams.
- Assists community providers with assessment and development of clinical activities across the continuum of high risk newborn care, which includes planning and implementation of clinical protocols, pathways and practice management guidelines, monitoring outcomes of patient care across the continuum, and serving as a resource for clinical practice.
- Represents the AC Neonatal Services program on various hospital and community committees to enhance and foster optimal high risk newborn care across Arkansas.
- Participates in the improvement of high risk newborn care at the community, state and national levels.
- Participates in formal benchmarking activities; and references literature and list-servs to identify best practices that may be applicable to the clinical program.
- Assists affiliated teams in the development of quality improvement processes that include goals and performance targets for clinical processes, outcomes and system issues.
- Obtains and uses data to drive and support statewide quality improvement initiatives for high risk newborns. Participates in strategic planning.
- Organizes and effectively utilizes appropriate mechanisms for networking, gathering feedback and sharing key goals, strategies, and progress with diverse staff and physician groups.
- Maximizes resources to provide team members with tools and resources to succeed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The Nursery Alliance Coordinator identifies opportunities for neonatal partnerships in the community and to plan, implement, evaluate and enhance patient care activities which improve neonatal clinical outcomes for patients cared for by AC affiliated nurseries across the state.
