    Job Description: DSJ Global is currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of marine vessel overhaul and repair projects for a top ship repair organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within shipyard environments or aboard marine vessels. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop comprehensive overhaul or repair implementation plans.
    • Track project budget, estimate costs, and negotiate contract changes as necessary.
    • Identify potential problems early and recommend/implement corrective actions.
    • Provide oversight to Ship Superintendents and collaborate with production teams.
    • Interpret specifications and contract requirements, ensuring compliance.
    • Monitor project progress and report any issues affecting cost or schedule performance.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and subcontractors.
    • Facilitate daily production meetings to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
    • Manage required reports and documentation submissions for each contract.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in shipyard or ship program/project management.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Project (and/or Primavera), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
    • Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Item requirements.
    • Understanding of cost and schedule performance metrics.
    • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to drive improved cost and schedule performance.
    • Capability to manage risks and opportunities effectively.
