Infrastructure Manager (AWS Managed Services)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage our application's infrastructure operations on AWS managed services.

This role is a critical part of our Platforms Team and will collaborate extensively with application development teams, infrastructure support teams, and AWS managed services teams to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient infrastructure support for our application.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of applications running on AWS managed services.

Lead the usage and implementation of key AWS tools and services such as EKS, S3, Aurora, DocumentDB, AmazonMQ, Elasticache Redis, Transit Gateways, and Patch Manager.

Manage and monitor the application's infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance. Collaborate with application development teams to align infrastructure solutions with application needs.

Interface directly with AWS managed services teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the infrastructure and to stay abreast of the latest offerings and best practices.

Ensure the infrastructure's compliance with security and data privacy standards. Oversee and guide the use and operation of tools like Zookeeper. Conduct regular infrastructure audits, performance metrics analyses, and make recommendations for improvements. Directly manage and mentor a team member, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with the company's objectives. Provide timely infrastructure support in case of any outages or issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in AWS managed services and infrastructure management to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS managed services and infrastructure management. In-depth knowledge of the listed AWS tools and services. Proven experience with Zookeeper and other relevant technologies. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of teams and stakeholders. Experience in managing and mentoring team members. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certification(s) - Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer. Previous experience in a financial technology company or similar industry. Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
