Job Title: Water Meter Reader

The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient water meter readings, maintain equipment, and provide excellent customer service.

About the Role

• Duties include reading water meters, recording consumption data, cleaning of meter boxes, removal of vegetation impeding access to meters.


• Perform manual work taking readings of meter dials and entering the read into a hand-held unit or laptop computer.


• Maintain general cleanliness of meter boxes by removing debris and sand.


• Document any issues with damaged boxes or lids, obstructions to meter access, water in meter box or leaks to billing department for prompt resolution.
