    About the Role

    The Senior Account Director plays a key role in enhancing client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. You'll serve as a strategic partner to some of the world's top brands, guiding them through the full value of Rio SEO's software and services while leading internal teams to ensure impeccable execution.

    We seek a consultative, analytical, and relationship-oriented leader who excels in a fast-paced digital marketing environment and finds joy in enabling enterprise clients to succeed.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead strategic client partnerships: Provide thought leadership, performance insights, and ongoing strategies aligned with client marketing and business objectives.
    • Own client satisfaction & retention: Ensure consistent communication, collaborative planning, in-person meetings, and impactful performance presentations.
    • Drive account expansion: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your client portfolio and cultivate deeper relationships within enterprise brands.
    • Guide digital strategy: Leverage expertise in SEO, paid search, local search, and performance marketing to optimize client outcomes.
    • Analyze data & performance trends: Utilize search engines, analytics tools, and the Rio SEO platform to develop compelling, actionable insights.
    • Monitor KPIs & optimize programs: Continuously enhance client programs to surpass objectives through an improvement-focused mindset.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends: Keep abreast of local search developments, competitive shifts, and best practices, conveying clear perspectives to clients.

    What You Bring

    • 6+ years of Account Management or Client Success experience (enterprise preferred).
    • Proven success in managing and growing relationships with Fortune 500 clients.
    • Strong digital marketing knowledge, particularly in SEO, SEM, local search, and performance marketing.
    • Experience in data analysis, transforming large datasets into client-ready insights.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
    • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Confident, self-directed, collaborative, and detail-oriented.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Expertise in Local Search and Google Business Profile.
    • Strong SEO background complemented by experience in SEM, PPC, display, social, email, and analytics.
    • SaaS industry experience focusing on client delivery or account growth.
    • Working knowledge of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.

    Work Environment

    This position is primarily remote. For team members near our Chicago, South Bend, or Boston hubs, we operate on a hybrid schedule, meeting in the office Tuesday through Thursday to collaborate and work #bettertogether.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $107,000. It is rare for offers to be made at the top of the range. Salary offers are influenced by various factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and applicable licensure or certifications. Additionally, market and organizational considerations are taken into account. Alongside base salary, successful candidates will receive a competitive benefits package and may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus or commission based on their performance.
