    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capture Manager with a strong background in software development and systems engineering, specializing in solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD).

    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic capture plans to secure new business opportunities and expand our footprint in the defense sector.

    This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to effectively manage the capture process from opportunity identification through proposal submission and contract award.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Capture Leadership:
    Identify, develop, and execute strategic capture initiatives for DoD projects involving software development and systems engineering. Lead cross-functional teams to secure new business and achieve revenue targets.

    Opportunity Identification and Assessment:
    Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities within the DoD. Evaluate the competitive landscape, customer requirements, and funding availability to assess the viability and potential success of these opportunities.

    Customer Engagement:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key DoD stakeholders, understanding their needs and challenges to tailor solutions that meet their requirements.

    Engage in continuous dialogue to keep abreast of changing priorities and opportunities for collaboration.

    Solution Development:

    Work closely with technical teams to develop compelling and innovative solutions that leverage our strengths in software development and systems engineering.

    Ensure that proposals are technically sound, competitively priced, and aligned with customer requirements.

    Proposal Management:

    Lead the proposal development process, ensuring that all submissions are of high quality, compliant with DoD requirements, and submitted on time.

    Coordinate with technical writers, engineers, and subject matter experts to craft persuasive and cohesive proposals.

    Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative environment to drive capture efforts. Ensure clear communication and alignment of goals across all team members and stakeholders.

    Contract Negotiation and Closure:

    Participate in contract negotiations with the DoD and industry partners, ensuring favorable terms that align with company objectives and compliance requirements.


    Required Skills and Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related role within the defense sector.
    Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning DoD contracts, particularly in software development and systems engineering.
    Deep understanding of DoD procurement processes, contract requirements, and federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.

    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

    Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

    Preferred Skills:
    Active security clearance.
    Technical background in software development and systems engineering.
    Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in the defense industry.
