International shipping corporation seeking an Associate General Counsel with 6+ of admiralty experience to join its Richmond office


Core requirements:
6+ years of maritime law and litigation experience
Admission to any state bar with a license to practice in-house

Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel to the organization on preventing and responding to lawsuits
Prepare and examine contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, and insurance
Perform investigations and conduct compliance training
Prepare corporate resolutions and forms
Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related mattes
The successful candidate can choose between one of two hybrid work options. Expected base salary is $150,000-$180,000, with substantial yearly bonus. Work-life balance is paramount, and the expectation is that the successful candidate will work 40 hours per week. Relocation package provided.
