The Purchasing & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects across Villatel's portfolio while also handling all purchasing, procurement, and logistical functions.

This role requires strong project management skills, as well as expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the efficient operation of Villatel Resorts.

This role is critical to the successful implementation of Villatel's inventory management system across resorts. The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality operations and/or hotel management.

Responsibilities

Purchasing and Procurement:

Develop and execute procurement strategies to fulfill business
requirements.
Source potential vendors, obtain quotes, and negotiate contracts to
secure favorable terms and pricing.
Manage vendor relationships,
including performance evaluations and contract renewals.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and
regulations.

Project Planning and Management:

Lead project execution and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with purchasing and procurement goals.
Provide regular updates and reports on procurement and operations project status, highlighting key achievements, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Communication and Engagement:

Communicate project status, purchasing updates, and procurement strategies to stakeholders.
Facilitate regular meetings with vendors and internal teams to
ensure alignment and collaboration.
Address operational concerns and provide timely updates on project milestones and deliverables.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels and reorder points for essential supplies and materials.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
Work with senior leadership to implement an inventory management system and PO process within Villatel's accounting system.
Collaborate with operations teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure that purchased goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to purchasing and procurement.

Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and

controlling costs.
Monitor spending against budget allocations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Work closely with owner relations and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications

Degree in business administration, Hospitality Management,
Logistics Procurement, or related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in operations management, or related roles within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and inventory control techniques.

Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft

Excel for data analysis.
Familiarity with hospitality procurement systems such as Avendra is a plus
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and results-oriented mindset.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Have a flexible schedule, able to work weekends as needed.
Will be required to travel to various company locations, through Greater Orlando / Central Florida as needed.
Must have transportation and a valid driver's license.
