    Description:

    Job Summary:
    • Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
    Responsibilities:
    • Prepares the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
    • Ensures the good working order of equipment and instruments, assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
    • Passes instruments to physicians during surgery, continually accounts for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
    • Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
    Requirements:
    • High School diploma or equivalent, state registration as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist.
    • 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
    • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, card in-hand before start date.
