Our client is one of the biggest CPG companies in the world.
They are currently looking for a
Lead, Supply Chain Development
to be based in their Chicago headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead technical and supply chain readiness to support commercialization activity by applying tools that prepare the supply chain and manufacturing facilities for successful start- ups.
Provide updates to leadership, platform leads, project team and vendors as needed on key initiatives, including progress against goals, cost management, next steps and needs from sponsors to alleviate roadblocks.
Be the liaison between the business team and the co-manufacturer.Support business and manufacturing systems initiatives as needed.
Lead continuous improvement of the commercialization process through collaboration with key partners and best practice sharing.
Manage and develop growth and innovation pipeline requests, in partnership with marketing and sales, to ensure the proper financial and capability hurdles are accurately met.
Pilot the manufacturing element of commercialization as it relates to NPDs and cost out changes, while providing cross functional support to the agile pods and platform teams.
Be the conduit between the 3rd party vendors and KHC driving NPDs at a co-manufacturing site.Provide input and solutions in commercialization meetings as they relate to manufacturing solutions.
Support the Supply Chain Commercialization team during project prioritization to align on MOQs for materials and production to mitigate Supply Chain Losses.
Partner with EM Quality and to ensure that any NPDs targeted are compliant.QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of related experience in manufacturing, business development or HQ business team experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, Chemistry, or other related fields
Possess experience working in a consumer food company; startup experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years in Plant Manufacturing preferred
Experience with basic Marketing/Finance principles
Eager to build new procedures and processes from scratch.
Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive mentality.
Strong negotiation, presentation, communication (written/verbal) and relationship building skills.
Ability to translate business expectations into supply chain solutions.
Possess strong planning, project management, and execution skills.
Experience working cross functionally in a matrixed environment, both regionally and globally.
Be agile, adaptable, flexible and thrive in a multifaceted and changing culture environment.
Possess strong digital literacy including a high level of proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, amongst others.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
COMPENSATION:
·
Base salary $150K - $160K
·
Plus 50% bonus
