Procurement Business Partner - Des Moines

Aureon Consulting has an immediate need for a Procurement Business Partner this will begin as a contract and has potential to convert to fulltime.
Client will consider remote resources who are capable of collaborating with multiple areas of the company, to include HR, marketing, finance, and others as needed.
If you are a proactive, data‑driven Procurement Specialist with a track record of success support sourcing strategy, understand SaaS licensing models, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional teams, please read on.
What You'll DoAnalyze data and market insights to guide procurement decisions
Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and set priorities
Lead RFP/RFX processes, negotiate contracts, and source a broad range of both business and IT suppliers
While the focus will initially be IT heavy, responsibilities will not be limited to this area.
Build long-term vendor relationships
Collaborate with marketing, events, finance, HR, and other teams
Research competitors and support pricing/promo strategy
Required skills
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Must have familiarity with SaaS licensing models and understanding of the associated risks
Significant experience reviewing contracts, to include the authority to red line.
Proven track record of contract negotiation and independent agreement management.
Experience in procurement or vendor management
Prior experience leading and/or coordinating RFP's.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry strongly preferred.
Nice to haves:
Insurance industry background (P&C)
Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing
