- Educate health care professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads.
- Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation to complete the referral-to-admission process.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
- Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
- Meet short- and long-term target account goals.
- Document daily sales calls in CRM (including pre- and post-call notes).
- Maintain a complete and up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in the territory in CRM.
- Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
- Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and liability insurance.
