Job DescriptionAs an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities include examining patients' eyes using various observation methods and diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, perception, and coordination.You will diagnose eye diseases, abnormalities, or vision defects, and screen for signs and symptoms of general health conditions such as diabetes.
Collaborating closely with the Site Operations Director, you'll develop treatment plans based on test results and prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids as needed.
Additionally, you'll educate and counsel patients on visual hygiene, contact lens care, and safety measures, ensuring they understand their eye health and how to maintain it.
Consultation and referral to other healthcare practitioners may be necessary based on patient needs.Upholding the highest standards of patient care, you'll also contribute to staff training and engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in optometry.
Your dedication to quality improvement initiatives, aligned with our Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, will further enhance our commitment to delivering excellent healthcare services to our community.
