    Role Summary:

    National Memorial Day Parade Assistant Band Director

    As a key member of our team, the National Memorial Day Parade (NMDP) Assistant Band Director plays a vital role in preparing the district's middle school or high school student ensemble for the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

    • Mentor and guide rehearsals as well as coordinate sectionals for student participants at assigned schools, adhering to the Head Director's meticulously crafted 41-week plan.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:



    • Select suitable marching fundamentals and musical performance skills that would promote visual elements among students during performances.

    • Develop effective teaching strategies focusing on enhancing performance qualities among young musicians participating in NMDP events.
