    Position Summary:
    Leads, directs, coordinates, and performs daily activities in the Tool Room. Responsible for promoting safety, quality, and efficiency efforts in assigned areas. Reports to Engineering Manager.


    Principal Functional Responsibilities:

    Makes safety the number one priority by leading by example, addressing unsafe conditions & behaviors, and supporting safety improvement initiativesSupports continuous improvement by participating in events and submitting opportunities for improvementsProgram, setup and operate a range of machinery including CNC and manual machining centers, Haas CNC mill and lathes, CNC wire EDM, Walter Helitronic Power, CNC grinder, cylindrical grinders, surface grinders, tool and cutter grinders, Honing machine, milling machine, engine lathe, and drill pressCommunicate and interact with other departments within a team environment as required.

    Complete machine orders as requiredBalance priorities between new project work and replenishment tool orders (Tool Crib)

    Align staff and assign daily roles to meet daily schedules in the Tool RoomReview toolmaker training plans and prioritiesEnsure materials required are ordered in a timely manner and in-stockPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:
    Master Cam X5 or higher experienceProficiency in Surface grinding/Milling Close tolerance +/-.0005 and Cylindrical grinding Close tolerance +/ Experience grinding solid carbide7 years previous machine shop or toolroom experienceG-Code programming proficiencyCNC grinding/Milling machine/WireEDM expertiseCutting tool manufacturing expertise

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Previous toolroom lead experienceCertificate or degree in machining or leadership curriculumCompetencies:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a teamDetail orientedAbility to get along with othersFlexibilityCompany: BrassCraft ManufacturingFull time

    Hiring Range:
    $ $28.50Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
