    RN Assistant Director of Nursing Position at EA Hawse Healthcare Center

    EA Hawse Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is looking for an RN Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team.


    Full Time Day Shift Position Available

    PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT: The RN Assistant Director of Nursing role involves monitoring and delivering personal nursing care and leadership to ensure care standards are met and high-quality resident care is maintained at all times. This position is crucial in supporting and leading the nursing staff to deliver top-notch care, fostering teamwork, and celebrating successes together.

    While assisting the DON in overseeing the Nursing Department's operation, the role includes managing available resources efficiently and aiding others in resource management.


    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assess new resident needs and communicate arrivals to the staff.
    • Conduct daily resident visits to evaluate their status and adjust care plans accordingly.
    • Interact with medical staff, residents, families, and others regarding resident conditions.
    • Ensure dignified and respectful resident care.
    • Monitor nursing staff documentation completeness and appropriateness.
    • Address residents' emergency situations promptly.
    • Supervise the development and implementation of necessary programs in the center.
    • Oversee resident documentation and records for accuracy.
    • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
    • Participate in training and educational programs to enhance care quality.
    • Provide leadership, promote organizational loyalty, and lead by example.
    • Perform other assigned activities as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Current RN license in the state.
    • Nursing degree from an accredited institution or an approved RN program graduate.
    • 5 years of RN Nursing Supervisory experience in long-term care.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Knowledge of nursing practices, standards, and regulations.
    • Strong decision-making and communication skills.
    • Effective leadership and supervisory abilities.
    • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and implementing quality care programs.
    • Openness to adopting new methods and principles.
