    Position Title: Cyber Security Compliance - Intern

    Location: Dallas, TX

    Your role: This role as a summer intern will collaborate with diverse teams within Cyber Resilience (CRaaS) supporting areas such as Cyber Security Operations, Assurance and Compliance. Digital Realty's Cyber Resilience Team is the front line for all things pertaining to our company's digital security posture. Cyber Security Compliance Intern role involves conducting audits, security assessments and assisting with risk management reviews and third-party assessments. This opportunity will provide great exposure about Cybersecurity governance, technologies, and functions. This intern will also gain valuable experience assisting our global security and risk management programs.

    What you'll do
    • Participate on a variety of engagements in analyzing, consulting, and reporting associated with Cyber assurance and compliance requirements.
    • Assist in reviews and enhancement of security policies that aligns with global regulations and leading practices.
    • Track enterprise compliance across multiple security frameworks including SOC 2, NIST and ISO and maintain up-to-date records of requirements and corresponding mitigating controls.
    • Monitor third-party risk assessments and assist in performing internal risk assessments.
    • Analyze management and technical controls to ensure that specific security and compliance requirements are met through the verification of documented processes, procedures, and standards in order to validate maintenance of secure configurations.
    • Participates in cross organizational working groups representing cyber compliance initiatives.
    • Assist in mapping Digital Realty requirements and regulatory requirements across the information security framework to identify overlapping requirements and compliance efficiencies.
    • Assists in sharing key examination findings to help organizations limit security risks and comply with laws relating to securing customer financial and sensitive data.
    • Assists in global cyber security audits, internal and external.
    • Participate in the development of security and privacy awareness training in conjunction with other members of the Security Compliance group.
    • Collaborate on critical IT projects to ensure that security policy/risk issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
    What you'll need
    • Pursuing master's or bachelor's degree in cyber security, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field from a 4-year accredited university, preferably
    • Strong understanding of technologies, network operations and Data Center Ops.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiar with GRC tools such as, ServiceNow is highly preferable, but not mandate.
    • Curiosity/Preparing for Cyber Security Certifications (CISM/CISSP/GIAC etc.)
    • Basic knowledge about SOC2, ISO27001, NIST 800-53a, NIST , FedRAMP, SOX
