    Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and
    servicing heavy duty vehicles, such as diesel trucks, roll off trucks, and
    trailers. The successful candidate will be required to use a variety of
    diagnostic equipment, tools, and techniques to perform maintenance and repairs.
    The ideal Fleet Mechanic will be highly motivated, have excellent
    problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working with a diverse range of
    vehicles and equipment.

    Job Responsibilities

    Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fleet of
    heavy duty trucks and equipment.
    Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including engines,
    transmissions, steering, brakes, and electrical components.
    Inspect and adjust components such as brakes, exhaust systems, and steering
    systems to ensure proper functioning.
    Perform routine services such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter
    changes.
    Utilize diagnostic software to identify mechanical problems and develop
    effective solutions.
    Provide prompt and accurate estimates of repair time and costs.
    Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in technology and repair
    techniques.
    Follow all safety procedures and regulations.

    Job Requirements

    Good driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical
    card required
    Valid CDL License a plus
    Experience performing repair work on large trucks including steering and
    transmissions.
    Ability to work in varying conditions (heat & cold)
    able to lift >50lbs routinely
    Ability to use gauges, measuring devices or other specialized equipment as
    needed
    Ability to operator manual transmission
    Minimum 3+ years of vehicle mechanic experience
    Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems
    Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Flexibility to accommodate overtime
    Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
    Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
