Quality Engineer

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Quality Engineer, you will be accountable for coordinating with all teams across the entire Digital USCB Flows.

You will validate the functionality from the customer view from account origination, fulfilment and servicing to regulatory and compliance aspects and also emphasis on the customer experience-based journeys.

This is an opportunity to be responsible in End-to-End testing extends and complements the functional testing performed by application scrum teams.

What will you be doing?

Designing testing strategies, customizing testing, designing modern testing frameworks and models, and acting as advocate for test coverage, quality engineering practices, automation
Defining test data requirements and advice regarding test case creation, contingency plans, and other preparation activities
Driving exploratory testing and test automation covering key practice areas including Native Mobile Apps, web, and API testing
Creating, shaping, and monitoring test plans for scalability, security, functionality, and usability for successful code deployment and work within large collaborative teams
Conducting analyses to determine software integration needs and analyze, testing, and assisting with integration of new application
Collaborating with Quality Assurance team and project stakeholders to assess specifications and technical requirements and identify products and technical requirements
Researching, writing, and editing documentation and technical requirements, including software design, evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals
Partnering with cross-functional delivery and project execution team members to test and enhance system features and craft automation framework

What we're looking for:

Expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript, XCUITest, and Expresso to execute automation scripts and working knowledge of Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Unix and Cypress to develop
Practical experience in analysing the issue and document the steps and develop QE Framework from scratch for automation
Experience in SQL and Oracle DB and Elastic search tools
Experience in Agile Methodology and good understanding of Banking domain

Skills that will help you in the role:

Experience in Java, JavaScript, XCUITest, Expresso, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, SQL, Unix and Cypress to develop and run automation scripts
