    The University of Utah, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, is seeking candidates with a strong track record of mentorship and research in echocardiography or advanced cardiac imaging to join their dynamic academic program.

    Position Details:
    • Provide leadership for multi-modality imaging physicians and fellows and be responsible for continued collaboration with other U Health departments and sub-specialties in Cardiovascular Medicine.
    • Strong history of productive collaboration with Radiology.
    • Provide oversight to fellows in the general cardiology program related to imaging training.
    • Teaching responsibilities for this position include interaction with Fellows in general cardiology and oversight of the Advanced CV Imaging Fellowship.
    • This position will offer protected time for administrative and leadership duties.
    Our newly renovated adult echocardiography laboratory performs over 25,000 adult echocardiographic studies annually at University Hospital, seven University practice sites, and multiple outreach locations throughout the intermountain west. We have state-of-the-art clinical programs in general cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure/transplant, structural heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, cardiac surgery, and multi-modality cardiac imaging. Our state-of-the-art echocardiography laboratory offers all modalities (transesophageal, stress, intracardiac, point of care) and has advanced post-processing capabilities.

    We are looking for early to mid-career candidates interested in leadership opportunities in our large echo imaging center and who are also interested in participating in inpatient and outpatient cardiology services as a member of our vibrant general cardiology section. The position can also include participation in other clinical programs at the University of Utah (advanced imaging, cardio-oncology, pulmonary hypertension, etc) according to the candidate's background and interest.

    Required Qualifications: MD, ABIM Board Certified or Board Eligible in Adult Echocardiography, eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah
