Responsibilities
- Patient care activities such as initial re-assessment introduction vital signs notification of physician within minutes of arrival to unit obtaining documents complete nursing admission re-assessment physiological psychological factors develop interdisciplinary plan care respond diagnostic data initiate appropriate action intervention re-assess patient education needs daily basis re-assess psychosocial needs specific patients age growth development planning re-evaluate plan care required by physicians office standards practices establish priorities patient care based patient needs evidenced completion assigned duties shift implementation verbalize understanding patient diagnosis interdisciplinary plan care safely correctly initiate document nursing interventions emergency situations pre-operative post operative instructions each assigned surgical patient during shift adhere standard precautions hand hygiene guidelines times ensure productivity daily delegating assignments immediate subordinates beginning shift evaluate completion duties assigned participates PI program identifying indicators major aspects unit level collects PI data assigns documents charges supplies used daily demonstrates safe correct use restraints unit specific equipment etc
