JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with the viewing, preparing, processing, trapping and ripping of a customer furnished digital file, resulting in an accurate post-rip document.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Document file problems, including feedback to Account Manager.
Assist with paginating files for proofing and/or plating.
Assist with creating digital and/or analog proofs if required.
Perform quality control of text and images.
Use computers, to make up and arrange pages so that printed materials can be produced.
Assist other department associates with workflow/processing problems if needed. Continually identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes.
Consistently and effectively serve as a positive role model by living Sheridan's core values.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE IS 6PM - 6AM, THREE DAYS PER WEEK

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical training and/or related work experience required.
Working knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, along with working knowledge of Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flight Check, InDesign (Adobe Creative Suites) and related software.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Proficient mathematical ability.
Ability to consistently and effectively work independently with little or no direction and follow up to complete assignments required.
Ability to demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of the job including an understanding of work instructions, processes, equipment, and materials to perform the job required.
Ability to consistently and effectively complete work and required paperwork thoroughly, accurately, and neatly following established processes and procedures required.
Ability to consistently and effectively demonstrate initiative and creativity; teamwork and cooperation; and adhere to and comply with all company and environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and work rules required.
Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts required.
Prompt and reliable attendance required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of pre-press, printing and bindery processes beneficial.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Position primarily entails sedentary work performed at a desk and requires prolonged use of computer. Minimal physical exertion is expected, but flexibility to adapt to occasional tasks that involve light physical effort is necessary.
