Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations management team, the Warehouse Operations Specialist is a pivotal role responsible for a wide range of operational tasks. This includes maintaining our supplies inventory, managing both empty and full containers, and overseeing team load and rollout functions. The role also involves scheduling customer deliveries and pickups, handling order pulls for supplies, and maintaining green areas and overall cleanliness of our warehouses and self-storage buildings. Security walkthroughs, greeting customers, and handling all aspects of the self-storage move-in and move-out process are also key responsibilities.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance:
  • Quickly address and eliminate unsafe conditions.
  • Engage with contractors to promote a culture of safety.
  • Conduct inspections to identify hazards and report them as needed.
• Customer Experience:
  • Deliver service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Handle unusual service requests and logistical challenges with proactive communication.
  • Solve customer issues to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Act as a positive company representative to boost customer loyalty.
  • Conduct self-storage inspections, reporting maintenance and cleanliness needs.
• Operational Efficiency:
  • Perform duties related to the dispatch process.
  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Warehouse Maintenance
  • Forklift Operation (must have experience)
  • Coordinate box delivery for 3 Men Movers customers.
  • Ensure that appropriate inventory quantities are on hand at all times.
  • Receive, count and stock items; larger shipments require operation of a forklift.
  • Post and receive purchase orders using a computer.
  • Pull inventory for movers and record transactions using a computer.
  • Prepare various inventory reports.
  • Occasionally drive to retrieve parts from vendors or deliver parts to customers and movers.
  • Assist in counting of warehouse and truck inventories.
  • Sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Forklift Certification: Must be certified or willing to undergo training.
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to handle the demands of the job.
