    Description


    Our client is a rapidly growing furniture manufacturer in Mill Valley, and we are seeking a skilled Controller to help support their growth.

    With annual sales of $55M and ready to surge to $100M, the right Controller will be able to fast-track to CFO as the current CFO begins steps to retire.

    The right candidate will have strong experience within manufacturing, should feel comfortable stepping in to make immediate changes such as process improvement and want to be a hands-on Controller helping the organization scale.

    This role will require 3 days/week onsite in Mill Valley.

    Responsibilities:
    Manage all accounting transactions and oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial records.
    Prepare and analyze financial statements, maintain general ledger accounts, and mentor a team of at least two employees.
    Collaborate with the CFO to redefine inventory accounting, enhance internal controls, and support audit processes.
    Continuously improve accounting processes, foster teamwork, and contribute to special projects as needed.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
    Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in management.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including inventory accounting and complex transactions.
    Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks knowledge a plus.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    Willingness to travel occasionally.
