    YELLOW Union Market is seeking a Chef de Cuisine. We are growing, with our new concept opening this summer,
    YELLOW Union Market and will be looking to add a powerful player into the kitchen to be a part of our opening team. A leader with great cooking technique, ability to motivate and direct a strong team, passion for working with local farms and seasonal produce, and menu planning and execution skills for Chef/Owner Michael Rafidi's newest concept.     Chef/Owner Michael Rafidi takes inspiration from his family's Palestinian roots, bringing to the table an experience that melds the ancient tradition of the region's coal-fired cuisine with local, seasonal, Mid-Atlantic ingredients and a refined culinary acumen.

    The Union Market location of
    YELLOW, expands on the lunch offerings with pastries which meld Levantine ingredients with classic French technique, pita sandwiches and inventive coffee offerings by day.



    Education and Experience Requirements
    Four years of experience as a executive sous chef in fine dining establishment.
    Ability to lead a team of people.
    Strong to desire to build a positive environment and culture .
    Experience with various cooking methods and procedures.
    Familiar with industry best practices.
