The Industrial Engineering team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Entry Level or Associate Industrial Engineers to join our growing team located in either Everett, Renton, Seattle, Auburn, or Puyallup, Washington, USA locations.
The ideal candidate will apply business acumen and knowledge to partner with cross functional teams from production operations, engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.

Position Overview:
Our Industrial Engineers will start by learning the production build processes of their organization, while developing an understanding of the Industrial Engineering Services Wheel and statement of work.
You'll be integrated into stabilizing the production system, implementing lean methodologies, assessing and performing to rate readiness requirements, as well as improving quality through root cause analysis.
Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player.

Primary Responsibilities:
All tasks below are conducted under the guidance of an experienced team member and include introduction and training in the specific processes and standard templates used by the business unit and program.
Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
Conducts basic work flow design and analysis.
Develops simple models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
Supports research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.
Supports the preparation of operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.
Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
Work Authorization Statement:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 1-year experience with Industrial Engineering and/or Systems Engineering
1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in operations management, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or a production environment
Exposure to working in a team environment.
Exposure or application of Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
Exposure or application of Project Management
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate:
Bachelor's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This position is to support 1st shift (start times dependent on organization), with some collaboration possible between 2nd and 3rd shift.
Pay Range Summary:

Summary Pay Range for Entry Level:
$54,000 - $95,000
Summary Pay Range for Associate:
$77,350 - $104,650
