    Job Description

    Medix is currently seeking skilled MRI Technologists for travel/contract opportunities at premier outpatient facilities in the Greater Hartford area. As a clinician with Medix, you will work closely with our client facilities to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to hit the ground running in a friendly, non-acute care environment.

    The MRI Technologist provides excellent patient care by performing MRI procedures as ordered by referring physicians. You will perform MRI exams as described in the procedure and protocol manual, consistently maintaining a high level of quality and productivity. You will be expected to operate MRI equipment (GE) and computer systems, including Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and PACS, with proficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform between 12–26 scans per day, ranging from 30-minute contrast studies to 60-minute specialty scans.
    • Maintain high-field MRI equipment (GE) and utilize Medinformatics EHR systems.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in performing intravenous injections.
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort for an adult patient population.
    • Collaborate with a supportive team of clinicians to ensure efficient clinic flow.

    Requirements

    • Certification: ARRT or ARMRIT Certification is required.
    • State License: CT state license
    • Life Support: Current CPR (BLS) Certification is required.
    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in high-field MRI is preferred; a minimum of 1 year of experience will be considered.
    • Clinical Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to perform intravenous injections with proficiency.

    Available Shifts

    We currently have two primary openings with flexible scheduling options. Please indicate your preference during the application process:

    • Option 1: Late swing shift, typically Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts (flexible based on contractors preference).
    • Option 2: Day shift, Tuesday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts (flexible based on contractors preference).
