The Georgia Dept.
of Transportation (GDOT) seeks a Business Analyst (BA) who will primarily assigned to analyzing IT project initiation requests and compiling documentation to facilitate new IT procurements/contracts or in-house system development.
As time permits, BA may be assigned to IT Project teams.BA will gather and translate business needs into product/solution requirements. BA will collaborate with business, IT, IT Security, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders.
The BA will assist with gathering information/documents from business and vendors, developing scopes of work, and preparation of materials to submit for solicitation or procurement.
The BA will work hand-in-hand with business, project, and management teams. BA will solicit, understand, and analyze business needs, data, objectives, and processes. BA will translate user need into materials for successful IT initiation, design, and development. BA will conduct user interviews and joint-application-development (JAD) sessions. BA will identify business "pain points" and rank user stories/use cases potential to improve business effectiveness/performance.BA will clarify and document IT project scope, current/future state, business/application workflows, functional/system requirements, system interaction diagrams, reporting and training requirements, data mapping, logical data models, metadata, screen mock-ups, and test cases.
BA will actively participate in the software development life cycle (SLDC) and transfer information to IT Project teams. BA will be responsible for demonstrating requirement traceability within work products. BA will validate requirements were met within developed products and facilitate completion of user acceptance testing. BA will assist project manager in getting dates from business units to complete reviews.Responsibilities:
