    Position Summary:

    This position is located at Maria Parham Franklin, located in Louisburg, NC. Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment.


    Minimum Education
    Nursing Associate Degree or Completion of an Accredited Nursing Diploma Program.

    Certifications/License
    Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire. Requires a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license upon hire. ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.

    Minimum Work Experience
    Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience or cardiac catheterization experience and working with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications preferred. Ability to read and recognize ECG's and dysrhythmias required.

    Required Skills
    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
