    Job DescriptionSalary:

    WaterFurnace is a Water Source/Geothermal Heat Pump and Heat Recovery Chiller Company with R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales Teams headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN with over 275 Employees in the US and Canada. Our HVAC solutions are installed into the Residential and Commercial HVAC / Renewable Energy markets primarily across NA.     Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, overtime as required

    Duties/Responsibilities (but are not limited to...):

    • Conduct warranty heat pump and component evaluations to achieve root cause failure analysis in accordance with part functional requirements.
    • Work with engineering, warranty, quality, and vendors to design/develop test procedures for warranty returned heat pumps and components.
    • Conduct warranty claim reviews.
    • Track warranty part returns.
    • Create reports prior to sending parts to engineering or the vendor for further analysis.
    • Work with engineering, quality, and vendors to determine root cause and corrective actions.
    • Support the engineering, technical service and warranty teams as needed.
    • Ability to conduct destructive analysis when required on Units/components to define root causes and improve overall equipment reliability performance.
    • Cross train in the Engineering Labs and in the Technical Service area
    • Ability to work with customers on problem applications to resolve issues and define root causes.
    • Comply with all WaterFurnace International and OSHA policies, procedures, specifications, and standards.
    • Some light travel may be required to suppliers and or customers.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • 2+ years HVAC industry experience
    • Associate degree in electrical, mechanical or experience in HVAC related disciplines
    • Mechanical and electrical aptitude. Willing to get dirty to determine the part failure.
    • Good computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of Epicor a plus
    • Ability to work with customers on problem applications to resolve issues and define root causes.
    • Ability to follow lab testing procedures for HVAC systems.
    • Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify and interpret test results.
    • A detail-oriented self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to collaborate with Suppliers on Root Cause and Corrective action component improvements.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Willing to get hands dirty to determine the part failure.

    Education and Experience:

    • Education Requirements: High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
    • Experience Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
