Reporting directly to the Sales Director of FENILI West Coast, , the Sales and product development Manager is responsible to develop the business in the assigned market, expanding the customer base, driving revenues and gross margin, maximizing the full product offer, in partnership with the manufacturing facilities of the group.
This role requires an entrepreneurial approach combined with strong selling skills, a deep understanding of the apparel industry, insight into adjacent markets and commitment to achieve and exceed goals.

Key responsibilitiesBusiness development and sales
Drive revenue growth of at least $2M a year by year 2 as a combination of increase in current customer base sales plus expansion to new customers.
Propose a yearly budget by customer and the product offer strategy to achieve it for approval by leadership – execute on the approved plan.
Identify and cultivate new prospective clients through networking and relationship-building and introduce at least XXX new clients in the first 2 years.
Manage all steps of the product development process (from prototype to delivery of the orders) in collaboration with overseas teams and factories.
Hold yearly budget and strategy meetings with clients.Follow development of prototypes/samples
Price set up and margin control.
Process bulk orders and ensure on-time delivery.
Manage open orders.
Pro-actively work with customers to ensure the correct balance of core v seasonal product in the assortment.
Learn the customer business and product offer, frequently visit website and stores providing reports on key items and opportunities.
Provide outstanding customer service and work collaboratively with internal teams to meet client requirements.
Troubleshoot challenges and provide quick-thinking solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Produce monthly and quarterly reports (actual v plan, re-forecasting, specific reports on sales initiatives)
Stay up-to-date with industry news, market developments, and competitors activities to identify business opportunities and potential threats.
Product development:
Study collection briefs or customer development requests
Creation of prototype technical cards
Ensure the interface between the design office and clients to monitor developments
Monitoring the manufacturing of prototypes
Verification of conformity and quality
Verification of compliance with manufacturing deadlines: prototypes + orders
Calculations of manufacturing costs in collaboration with our design office
Study and optimization of manufacturing costs
Industrialization of prototypes for production
Solve any unforeseen events in partnership with the design office
