    Job Description:

    Summary: The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead the Mechanical Engineering team in the designing, prototyping, testing, documenting, and launching of our new product portfolio and continue to maintain current products with enhancements.

    This position will focus on Safety, Ergonomics, Quality and Cost.

    The Mechanical Engineering Manager will work collaboratively with the other Engineering disciplines along with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Service and Marketing.

    Position Responsibilities:
    Leadership and mentoring for direct reports to deliver designs that meet the project requirements.
    Communicate Company objectives through performance metrics.
    Coaching for direct reports that manage projects and communicate status during New Product Development (NPD) team reviews.
    Ability to interpret and understand mandated regulations such as Fuel, Plumbing and Building Codes.
    Ability to communicate engineering progress with all levels of the organization clearly and effectively.

    Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of ERP system, including Items, BOM structure, Costs and Routings in order to support all activities of the organization; from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Service and Marketing.

    Create and implement standard operating procedures in Engineering.
    Meets financial objectives by supporting the forecast requirements for capital and expense budgets, monitoring monthly expenditures and analyzing variances.
    Develop, manage and communicate annual performance plans for direct reports along with personal development and coaching.
    Support both new and existing vendor relationships. Communicate new and updated product and components designs, and update drawings and specifications as needed.

    Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetDevelop, monitor and revise resource availability and allocation plan for direct reports.

    General Duties:
    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience:

    Relevant Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering5 or more years of professional experience in various engineering functionsProficient with CAD software, preferable Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk vault.

    Advanced skills with MS office tools.

    Manage in-depth analysis of the different possible courses of action and then selecting the best solution for implementation

    Research and Development:
    Capable of managing and directing the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential products
