    Project IMPACT is partnering with Clarity HR Solutions to find qualified and passionate Associate Therapists (ACSW and AMFT) to serve children and families in their Mental Health program. This can be a full-time or part-time position.

    About the Job

    The Associate Therapist (ACSW or AMFT) has primary responsibility for mental health and case management services to assigned children and their families; provide mental health services (including assessment and evaluation) and other related therapeutic services to clients; may act as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff; coordinates services, document mental health services rendered, complete weekly client notes, reports, tracking and outcomes information.

    Specific Job Duties:

    • Implementation of clinical services component of mental health services program; conduct individual, family and group counseling services for client and collaterals.
    • Triage of incoming cases in consultation with the referring agency/individual and prioritize cases with the greatest severity of impairment and need.
    • Assist in the provision of telephone crisis intervention to children and families with highest need and provide appropriate referrals to on-call personnel, emergency intervention and/or community resources.
    • Provide case planning and intervention services, ensuring that services are appropriate to individual client needs. Complete intake forms and all other required documentation in compliance with mental health services program protocols.
    • Review and approve individual Services Plan for each client; participate in community education and networking activities.
    • Participate in weekly clinical/case review supervision and staff meetings;
    • Comply with the productivity standards of Project IMPACT while maintaining an appropriate caseload to reach the weekly expectation of client services/billable hours.
    • Maintain and complete timely case notes and other records; prepare periodic reports as required.
    • Perform other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill agency and/or program requirements.

    Job Requirements

    • Master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology or related social science field.
    • Current registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
    • Evidence Based Training Certification preferred.
    • Previous experience in mental health or a social service agency setting desirable.
    • Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, parents, foster parents, caretakers, schools, other staff, physicians, county agencies, other health care providers and the public.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment. Visually and audibly assess the mental status, behavior and needs of potential admissions to the program.
    • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and follow-through to completion of job assignments.
    • Ability to perform clear, concise, and timely documentation and correspondence.
    • Must be able to provide and maintain personal vehicle insurance coverage according to Project Impact standards due to travel duties while providing client services, etc.
