    Innovation Director & Chief of Staff, Corporate Enterprise - Legal/Digital

    Location: Palo Alto, CA, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, or Boston, MA.

    Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment being 2-3 days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

    The Innovation Director & Chief of Staff, Digital and Corporate Enterprise Legal will be responsible for driving innovation strategy at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and law. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting business growth, operational excellence, and cross-functional strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills and will have deep understanding of healthcare product strategy, current/emerging trends in technology and healthcare law as a function of both. They will report to the VP for Digital and Corporate Enterprise Legal.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Collaborate with the Digital and Corporate Enterprise Legal leadership teams to develop, communicate, and execute the team's strategic goals, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise objectives.
    • Lead and manage innovation initiatives/projects/programs critical to team objectives.
    • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise, road map efforts, identify key stakeholders, track progress, and ensure timely execution.
    • Identify innovation opportunities, implement best practices, and streamline workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Identify emerging trends in technology, data, information security, and AI practices/application and how opportunities can be leveraged, and risks mitigated.
    • Foster collaboration across the enterprise, including but not limited to teams for Commercial, State and Federal Health Plans, Clinical, Non-Clinical, IT, etc. to ensure seamless execution of Innovation initiatives.
    • Anticipate potential challenges and risks related to innovation and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Provide team related to innovation strategy by assisting with aligning goals, decision-making, preparing meeting agendas, and coordinating activities.
    • Cultivate relationships with respective business unit innovation teams to identify opportunities to align strategic efforts based on business need and consumer insights.
    • Explore vendors and technologies in the market that could provide a solution or component of a solution, and make build, buy, partner recommendations.
    • Establishes a variety of metrics (clinical effectiveness, adoption, financial, etc.) designed to track the effectiveness of solutions and emerging technologies and solutions at meeting organizational targets.
    • Shepherd innovation initiatives by assuming a program leadership role as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
    • Track and report on ideas in the pipeline, on active initiatives and on pilots that are in development and getting launched.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 15 years' experience in information technology, healthcare, consulting, and/or consumer technologies; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

    • MBA or Advanced degree in healthcare/business/technology related field, preferred.
    • 10+ years' experience in a healthcare product strategic leadership position, preferred.
    • Extensive experience in developing and delivering executive/senior leadership communication materials, including presentations, reports, and updates, to inform stakeholders about strategies, progress, and outcomes.
    • Extensive experience overseeing large complex programs in healthcare, technology, business, or related field.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, industry trends, consumer marketing, and innovative models that address key challenges in health and healthcare.
    • Deep understanding of technology, architectures, applications that support the healthcare payor and/or provider industries.
    • Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

    For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $181,500.00 to $ 272,
