Summary

The Information Technology Specialist position is located in the Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Technical Services (OTS), Engineering Systems and Technology Division (ESTD), Command & Control, Communications, Computers & Cyber Branch (C5B), and serves as Program Manager providing oversight and technical direction, as well as budget planning and execution for the IT Support Services Contract and related infrastructure.

Duties

As an Information Technology Specialist, you will:

• Direct and oversee multiple, complex technology projects, using IT project management principles, methods, and practices, such as planning, scheduling, resource estimation, definition of milestones, monitoring and communications;
• Provide expert technical decisions, advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues;
• Plan and manage long-range budgets and adapt to fiscal changes and priorities, to execute and manage an IT program budget of approximately $10M/year across the five-year budget cycle;
• Apply multiple IT specialties and their interrelationships to direct and manage complex IT program and project activities;
• Communicate and negotiate with a large and diverse set of stakeholders to address concerns, prioritize objectives and resources, and settle conflicts.
