Union position Local TWU 526 Pay rate: $34.19 per hour Perform testing, maintenance and repair of fire detection and fire suppression systems and components
Coordinate with the fire department and facility personnel to test the fire alarms
Candidate must be knowledgeable in various fire alarm manufactures understand and follow all NICET requirements for compliance to state federal and local code requirements
Have the ability to troubleshoot using a root cause mentality and understand the failure modes of the fire alarm systems and equipment
Must be able to work in a customer environment and have good communication skills
Here's what you'll need:
Journeyman Level Electrician, or Electronics Technician with at least 4 years' experience working Detection and releasing systems for special hazard systems found in ammunition magazines, special use facilities and computer server rooms including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems (either agent or water-based systems) in any of the following roles/functions:
